WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Have you heard the saying "If you can't adopt, foster; if you can't foster, donate; if you can't donate, volunteer"? It's so true! Everyone wants to help but we know that helping is unique to each person. That's why we created the Volunteer tab! We need your support and we'd love to tell you more about the areas where we most need assistance!
Adoption, of course, is paramount. Every animal welfare/rescue organization has one central goal in common- SAVE AS MANY LIVES AS POSSIBLE! Whether that be through spay/neuter and preventing unwanted litters, or through rescue and
adoption. To us, both themes are important. Adoption saves three lives. It saves the animal you take home, the animal we are able to take in his/her place, and the animal who can be added to our waiting list.
Fostering is another important aspect of animal rescue. Because we do not have a shelter, we rely 100% on our
foster families. Without you, there would be no animal rescue program. Fostering is so rewarding, and it asks so little of you other than to share a bit of your home and heart.
Volunteering is not only rewarding, it is essential to our organization. If you are not able to donate money but still want to help us save lives, you can volunteer your time. Maybe you're great at making posters or perhaps you have a knack for talking to people about the value of adoption- we need you! Interested in getting involved? Excellent!
There are so many ways you can help, including:
Do you have a specific idea in mind? E-mail us by clicking here!
Below is a quick and easy form to fill out that lets us know you are ready to get involved! Once you fill out the form, we will contact you to talk more about your specific interests. If you are under 15, that is quite alright! We will simply need your parent or guardian in attendance while you spend time with us.
Donations keep our organization thriving. Each animal that is adopted is fully vetted by the HSAC; that includes spay/neuter, health checks and vaccines. Your donations help us keep these animals healthy and happy while they wait for their forever homes. We also offer multiple free spays and neuter surgeries for the community every year, with each surgery costing approximately $130. Some people can't afford our low-cost program and we don't want their animals to go without this important procedure as a result. For these owners, we cover the entire cost. Our goal is to spay and neuter every needy animal, thereby improving their health and eliminating the possibility of unwanted litters.
