The Burlington Parks and Recreation Department has continued to host DogSplash twice a year at the Aquatic Center on the evenings before the scheduled cleaning. They also generously donate a portion of the proceeds to the HSAC. Pet owners from surrounding counties are now bringing their dogs to our event so that their dogs get a rare opportunity to swim.
For the Dogsplash event in May, the bubble covers the pool. In September, the cover has been removed so that the dogs and their companions can swim under the stars!
For information on the next DogSplash, contact the Aquatic Center at (336) 222-5043. Usually a $5.00 fee is charged per dog and dogs need proof of rabies vaccinations.
