Since 1988, over 12,000 animals have been spayed or neutered through HSAC's low-cost Spay/Neuter Program.
Kristen Wofford, age 9, won the Be Kind to Animals contest for Best Art, Ages 8 to 12 with the drawing above. The words Kristen wrote at the bottom of the drawing say: "This is Navy. He was my favorite cat. I set up his pen myself and I named him. I really enjoy being a volunteer at Petsmart. It's the most fun thing I've done in my life yet!."
Kathy Meyers, a student at Western Alamance High School, won the Be Kind to Animals competition in the Best Art, Ages 13 to 17 category by submitting the pastel drawing at left and 4 watercolors. See Kathy's watercolor cats below.
