Become a Member
We invite you to join our worthy cause by becoming a member of the Humane Society of Alamance County. Get a membership Form. VolunteerAll Humane Society of Alamance County (HSAC) programs are volunteer-staffed. With your help, we are able to operate these programs and provide our services to the public. Consider what you enjoy and your special talents when you are looking at just a few of our volunteer opportunities below. Fundraising Raising money to operate our programs and services is our biggest challenge. You may want to work with other volunteers on specific fundraisers like: BOV Indoor Yardsale Woofstock/Tour de Tailwaggers Raffle Ticket Sales Membership Drive Barnes & Noble Christmas and Holiday Gift Wrapping And there are many other opportunities that develop throughout the year. Independent Fundraising You may want to do something creative on your own for HSAC. Creative volunteers have raised money through lemonade stand sales, penny drives, candle sales, consignment sales, yard sales, pet food drives, Purina weight circle collections and more! If you are a member of a club or fraternal organization whose mission includes serving the community, HSAC is a great place to serve! Working with animalsMaintaining the Petsmart Luv-A-Pet Adoption Center is a big effort, but there is a big payoff: we are helping these kitties find forever homes by introducing them to the public. Cleaning litter boxes, grooming cats and helping socialize them are all important volunteer jobs that help us put their "best paw forward!" Fosters Needed We're looking for 1 or 2 additional foster homes to help us transition the cats that we take into our Foster/Rescue program. No expense to you - all food and medical expenses covered by HSAC. To find out more about how you can help our rescue cats and to receive a foster application, please contact us at the phone number or email below. Please contact us if you want to volunteer: Phone: (336) 438-2023, e-mail: hsac@netpath.net. Or you can click here to view and print our Volunteer Form.
