May 2 7 pm - 8:30 pm HSAC Annual Membership Social & Wine Tasting at For All Occasions, 3266 S Church St, Burlington. Join the HSAC for an evening of wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and fun. Memberships as well as raffle tickets will be sold. Prizes include fine wines, a classic David Yurman ring, animal-themed gift sets and a Company Shops Market Family Membership. All proceeds benefit the HSAC programs. Our social isn't just for new members. We invite our current members to drop by as well and renew their memberships. For more information, call 438-2023.

May 3 - 4 Special PetSmart Adoption Fair at PetSmart, University Dr, Burlington. Saturday & Sunday from 2 pm - 4 pm. HSAC volunteers will be inside the store with our foster dogs near our foster kitties, located in their cubbies. German Shepherd Rescue will attend with adoptable dogs and additionally there will be dogs from the Burlington Animal shelter.

May 17 1 pm - 3 pm Pet Adoption Fair at Burlington Square Mall. CANCELED.

May 17 11 am Grand Opening of the Burlington Dog Park. The dog park, built in memory of Jiggs Askew by the Alamance Kennel Club, is located at Burlington City Park behind the YMCA on S. Main St.

June 3 10 am - 4 pm PetSmart Adoption Fair at PetSmart, University Dr, Burlington. HSAC volunteers will be outside the store with our foster dogs and our foster kitties are located in their cubbies inside.

June 14 5 pm - 8 pm Rivermill Saturday - HSAC Night. Summer weekend festivities are happening again in Saxapahaw. The HSAC will be featured on this particular Saturday evening. Music will be provided by Kickin' Grass. There are activities for children and food and arts & crafts vendors in attendance.

August 30 5 pm - 8 pm Rivermill Saturday/ HSAC Night - Finale. This evening's festival will be the final one of the summer so don't miss it!

September 14 2 pm - 8 pm DogSplash at the Burlington Aquatic Center. The swimming pool is located at the end of Overbrook Rd in Burlington. This annual event by the Recreation and Parks Department gives you an opportuntiy to swim with your dog. Part of the proceeds go to the HSAC.

October 11 10 am - 2 pm Tour de Tailwaggers at Burlington City Park. Mark your calendar for this fall's annual dog walk and festival. This will be the HSAC's 10th Tour. Stay tuned for more details to come!
